Probably not quite, but Thomas Berdych didn’t win too many new fans in Melbourne yesterday after he refused to shake the hand of his opponent Nico Almagro after four gruelling hours of tennis. Almagro hit Berdych with a cheap shot and dropped him earlier in the match which Berdych said was the reason behind the handshake snub.

Me and B got tickets through work and honestly can say that I have never seen anything like it, Berdych was literally booed off court by everyone at Hisense arena. It’s a tough one to say whether Berdych’s actions were right or wrong. But in my opinion it was immensely disrespectful to Almagro and it was not in the spirit of the game.
